Qualifications

  • Current professional registration with NMC required.
  • Previous nursing experience in an Outpatient setting is desirable.
  • Competent and trained in Venepuncture; cannulation skills is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the delivery of Outpatient services ensuring patient experience reflects organisational objectives.
  • Ensure a welcoming, caring and safe environment for patients and demonstrate the 6 C’s of nursing care.
  • Develop and maintain clinical skills and knowledge for evidence-based nursing care.

    We are looking for a motivated and dynamic nurse who would like to be part of a very busy and forward thinking Outpatient Team.

    The role will involve working across the whole of Outpatient and Day Services at Camborne Redruth Community Hospital (CRCH) including our Nurse Led Wound Management Clinic, the Transfusion and Infusion Service, the Phototherapy clinics and in the general Outpatient clinics as required.

    Experience in IV therapy would be an advantage.

    Main duties of the job
  • Participate in the delivery of Outpatient services ensuring strategic organisational objectives are reflected by the patient experience
  • To continuously develop the knowledge and skills to be a confident and competent professional in all areas of Outpatient Services, including nurse-lead clinics and to undertake other duties as required in keeping with the expectations of a Band 5 Registered Nurse
  • To ensure a welcoming, caring and safe environment is provided for patients and their carers demonstrating the 6 C’s of nursing care within all interactions.
  • Promote and maintain good interpersonal relationships with all users of Outpatient Services
  • To develop and maintain clinical skills and knowledge necessary to provide research informed, evidence based nursing care
