At Sheffield Teaching Hospitals, we are proud to provide exceptional cancer care across the region. As a key member of our specialist team, you will play a vital role in delivering safe, compassionate, and evidence-based care to patients undergoing complex cancer treatments.

For those who are currently employed by the Trust as a Registered Nurse, you should instead apply through the Staff Nurse Transfer process via your line manager.

If you are a Newly Qualified applicant and are due to qualify by 31 December 2025, we have a separate Newly Qualified Staff Nurse recruitment process and therefore we are unable to consider you on this advert.

Main duties of the job
  • To assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care.
  • To maintain effective communication with all patients, carers and members of the Healthcareteam.
  • To act sensitively, confidentially and with empathy in demonstrating understanding of wideranging physical and emotional needs.
  • To maintain accurate, contemporaneous and timely care records, both written and electronic.
  • To act within a framework of Healthcare governance and understand responsibilities topatients for assessing risk, health and safety legislation including the use and decontaminationof clinical equipment, information governance and assuring quality.

  • Completed and achieved ADNS/BA (Hons) Nursing Studies OR Registered Nurse with NMC Registration
