Experience in acute settings
We are currently searching for a Registered Nurses/Operating Department Practitioner to join our experienced team for day and night rotation to ensure that an individual programme of care is planned, implemented and evaluated for each patient within own sphere of responsibility and to work as part of the multi-disciplinary team ensuring the delivery of the highest standard of care to the patients.
You must be a qualified, experienced RN/ODP preferably within an acute setting although this is not essential.
The Post Operation Ward spans four geographical areas of the hospital, including Main Recovery, Ophthalmology, Orthopaedics and Day Stay of which the successful candidate will be required to rotate.

The staff in these areas are responsible for monitoring acutely ill patients of all ages following Surgery with conditions varying from routine Post Op level to High Dependency level. This post will include supporting the whole critical care directorate as required.
To ensure that an individual programme of care is planned, implemented and evaluated for each patient within own sphere of responsibility.
To work as part of the multidisciplinary team ensuring the delivery of a high standard of care to the patients.
To act as team leader including taking charge of the ward in the absence of the Ward Manager/Deputy Ward Manager.
To participate in all relevant aspects of the Governance process.
You will adhere to the NMC code of Professional Conduct at all times and ensure compliance with hospital policies and procedures.
