Part time 21.5 hours per week (4 nights per fortnight)

Base salary £34,441 - £37,033 per annum full time which is £19,746 - £21,232 per annum prorata for 21.5 hours per week (plus allowance for unsocial hours)

St Oswalds Adult Inpatient Unit provides Specialist Palliative Care for people with progressive life-limiting illness. We aim to promote high quality care for patients and their families by adopting a holistic and individualised approach.

We are looking for a Registered General Nurse with a positive, can do attitude who is self-motivated and committed to the principles of palliative care. You should enjoy working as part of a busy team with the emotional strength and have high levels of communication and prioritisation skills that are essential for this role. You will have a minimum of 1 year post registration experience, within a palliative care or comparable setting.

This is a unique opportunity to join a friendly, motivated and experienced multidisciplinary team committed to delivering skilled and compassionate care of the highest standard.

Job responsibilities

Under the supervision of the Adult Inpatient Unit Sister/Junior Sister you will be responsible for the coordination of a small team and act as named nurse for a caseload of patients, taking responsibility for the assessment of patients holistic needs, planning, implementation and evaluation of care.
