Staff Nurse Neonatal Unit

An exciting opportunity has arisen for band 5 staff nurses to join the dynamic and supportive team in our local neonatal unit at Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. The unit has 12 cots consisting of 2 intensive care, 2 high dependencies and 8 special care cots. We care for babies born above 30 weeks gestation.

We pride ourselves on having an environment where your development matters, so previous neonatal experience is not mandatory.

Weare looking for registered nurses with excellent communication skills to join us. Part time hours would be considered.

If you are a registered nurse or midwife considering a new challenge this role may be perfect for you, you do not need to be a children's nurse to have a successful career in Neonatal Care.

In return you will be supported in becoming a neonatal nurse, qualified in this speciality.

Qualifications
  • Degree level education or equivalent knowledge gained by of alternative study, or employ skills gained by combinatioment experience
  • Professional UK registration e.g. NMC, HPC
  • Computer Literate
Experience
  • Evidence of Continued Professional Development (CPD) clearly recorded for professional profile
  • Completed clinical placements in a variety of areas
  • Knowledge of the management of in-patients including evidence based strategies.
  • Experience of staff supervision
  • Awareness of local and national agenda within neonatal services
Skills and Ability
  • Ability to demonstrate the required behaviour in keeping with the Trust values
  • Ability to communicate written and verbal information in English, keeping legible and accurate notes
