NHS Ayrshire and Arran in Kilmarnock is seeking a Staff Nurse/Midwife to join the Womens Health team at the Ayrshire Maternity Unit, University Hospital Crosshouse. This permanent, part-time post offers 14.40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, and the opportunity to contribute to high-quality care in a supportive, collaborative environment.

You will be registered with the NMC and have substantial post-registration experience.

Position

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Staff Nurse/Midwife within our Womens Health Department based at The Ayrshire Maternity Unit, University Hospital Crosshouse. This post is offered on a permanent. Please note that we anticipate a high level of interest in this position and may close the vacancy early once enough applications are received. What you will do

You will be part of a team supporting and counselling patients undertaking termination of pregnancy, providing contraception and obtaining sexual health screening. Provide high quality patient care at all times.

Knowledge, training and/or experience required for this post

You will demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, confident communication and effective organisational skills. You should be able to provide evidence of personal development and a willingness to undertake appropriate training. It is essential that you are currently registered with the NMC and that you have significant post registration experience. Sexual health certificate and Non medical prescriber or willing to work towards is desirable.
