In this dynamic role, you will leverage your clinical expertise to assess, plan, deliver, and evaluate tailored care programs for a specific group of patients as their named care provider, while supporting the overall care of all patients on the ward or unit.
Effective communication will be key as you assist in managing and organising workflows. You'll provide crucial support to junior staff, with newly qualified nurses receiving tailored mentorship to help them thrive.
You’ll play a pivotal role in the education and development of learners and unregistered staff, guiding them with your experience as they embark on their nursing journeys. Your interventions will be rooted in evidence-based practice, ensuring you meet diverse patient needs with the utmost skill.
Collaboration is essential, so you’ll work closely with our Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) to provide holistic patient care, making referrals as needed. You’ll also offer compassionate support to patients and their families, always respecting their privacy and dignity.
Monitoring the effectiveness of nursing care will be part of your everyday routine, enabling you to adjust care programs as necessary. Utilise your highly developed clinical skills and practice within professional, ethical, and legal nursing frameworks.

This vacancy is open to those who have a current NMC PIN to practice as an Registered Nurse in the UK, or those who are currently enrolled on a course which means they expect to receive their full NMC PIN within the next 3 months. Please note an NMC PRN PIN is not a full NMC PIN and would not fulfil the essential criteria for this role.
The NCA can no longer accept applications from International Nurses who are yet to complete all competencies needed to receive a full NMC PIN to practice in the UK as we have paused our OSCE programme indefinitely.
