Woking & Sam Beare Hospice invites applications for a staff nurse on the Inpatient Unit. You will provide patient-centred care for people with life-limiting illnesses, support relatives and carers, and help organise the nursing service.

Teaching junior staff and students is also part of the role. The successful candidate will hold current NMC registration, demonstrate recent professional development and be able to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

This staff nurse post sits on the Inpatient Unit of Woking & Sam Beare Hospice, a charity providing palliative and end-of-life care across North West Surrey. The work centres on individualised care for patients with complex life-limiting illnesses, supporting their relatives and carers, and helping organise the nursing service, including teaching junior staff and students. Staff-to-patient ratios and an emphasis on training and university-level study set the post apart. Sponsorship is not offered, and a DBS check applies.

What’s required

Qualifications

• RN qualification at diploma or degree level
• Evidence of recent professional updating and relevant personal development

Registration & licences

• Current NMC registration

• Relevant clinical experience

• Professional awareness and knowledge

• High standard of patient care in line with the NMC Code of Conduct and Practice
