East Cheshire NHS Trust is seeking an experienced Band 5 Staff Nurse to support ward operations and provide high-quality, evidence-based, person-centred care to patients. In the absence of band 6/7, you will lead the ward team and ensure smooth rosters and safe care.

This position is open to staff working at the Trust in the 'ECT Family' this includes current East Cheshire NHS Trust employees, both NHSP and ECT bank staff, ISS staff and volunteers at the Trust. Unfortunately, we cannot accept applications from applicants not listed within these groups.
Under the direction of the Ward Manager and SDEC Coordinator the role of a Band 5 Staff Nurse is to support them to assess, plan, implement, evaluate and deliver high quality, evidence-based, holistic person-centred care and to assist in the supervision of more junior members of staff.
In the absence of band 6/7 nurse the postholder will be required to act as team leader who will be responsible and accountable for the smooth running of the rostered shift.
Hours per week: 24
