Registered Nurse qualification
We are looking for a Band 5 Nurse with at least 12 months post qualification experience to complement our existing nursing team and to work within our dynamic and friendly team. The successful applicant will join a multidisciplinary team of skilled and highly motivated staff who provide quality care to children with a wide variety of conditions including medical, surgical, trauma, orthopaedics plastics, ENT and the largest Bone Marrow Transplant Centre non-malignant blood cancers.
The St May’s site is a designated children’s and adult major trauma centre with a dedicated 24/7 children’s Emergency Department and a specialist High Consequence Infectious Disease Unit within our PICU. We work closely with our High Dependency Unit at the Chelsea and Westminster site as part of the West London Children’s Healthcare.
• To deliver efficient, compassionate, and excellent nursing care to patients and their families which is evidence based.
• To minimise risk and maintain safety of patients and staff; supporting the ward manager in investigating incidents and identifying ways to improve practice.
• To actively promote the safeguarding of children and young people.
• To use evidence-based practice and actively participate in the progression of nursing within West London Children’s Healthcare (WLCH) and Imperial Healthcare
