Salary : £37,500 - £45,000 (Depending upon experience)

Contract : Full time, permanent position

What are we looking for?

Cleveland Clinic London is looking to recruit a Staff Nurse to join our ICU team, with a competitive salary of up to £45,000 depending on experience.

This role involves working Monday to Sunday, including Days, Nights, and Weekends, with the following shift patterns:

  • 6-week rota of 19 shifts
  • 08:00 – 20:30 and 20:00 – 08:30

The Intensive Care Staff Nurse will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the care of patients requiring level 2 and 3 care under indirect supervision from senior staff. They should provide general and specialized direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols of the healthcare organization.

What will your duties include?

  • Providing direct nursing care to patients requiring level 2 & 3 care according to established policies and protocols.
  • Prioritizing nursing care, recognizing patient deterioration, and escalating issues immediately.
  • Serving as a primary coordinator for well-coordinated patient care across disciplines.
  • Assessing and coordinating discharge planning needs with the healthcare team.
  • Leading the nursing team in delivering patient care and collaborating with other disciplines to achieve outcomes.

What we need from you?

  • Current nursing registration (First Level) with the Nursing & Midwifery Council (NMC), with no restrictions to practice.
  • Willingness to undertake relevant post-registration courses.
  • Clinical experience with critically ill adults, including invasive lines, mechanical ventilation, hemodialysis, and vasoactive medications.
  • Experience in critical care specialties such as cardiac, neurosurgery, renal, or GI surgery.
  • Completion of Step 1 Critical Care Competencies Course.
