Position Overview

We are offering a unique opportunity for a highly motivated Registered Adult Nurse to deliver comprehensive Primary Care Services within HMP Kilmarnock.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Deliver safe, effective, person-centered care, supporting patients with long-term conditions, palliative care, responding to emergencies, triaging minor illnesses/injuries, providing health promotion advice, and administering medication.
  2. Work collaboratively within an extensive multidisciplinary team in the Health Centre at HMP Kilmarnock, partnering with GPs, Mental Health, and Addiction Services.

Candidate Requirements

Applicants must demonstrate a commitment to caring for patients who have often experienced significant trauma, within a secure environment. They should possess current thinking in Primary and Emergency Care, be innovative, enthusiastic, flexible, and capable of working autonomously and in a team. Candidates must have a Registered Adult Nurse qualification and be registered with the NMC, with a minimum of degree-level education or relevant clinical experience.

Working Hours

37 hours per week.
