We are seeking a motivated, enthusiastic, and clinically capable Band 5 Trained Nurse to join our nursing team at Harold White Ward, St Austell Community Hospital. This role involves delivering high standards of patient and rehabilitative care to predominantly elderly patients.
The ideal candidate will possess strong organisational, communication, and clinical skills, and be able to act as a positive role model. The nurse will undertake a range of Early, Late, and Night shifts on a rotational basis to support 24-hour nursing care, 7 days a week. Flexibility to support other hospitals in the locality is also required.
This is a fixed-term position for 1 year to cover maternity leave. Responsibilities include assessing care needs, developing and implementing care programmes, leading the nursing team without direct supervision, and mentoring pre and post registration students and Healthcare Assistants.
