Staff Nurse - Gynaecology Outpatients

We are looking for a Staff Nurse to join our busy but friendly Gynaecology Outpatients care team.

If successful you will help us provide a high standard of patient care, experience, and quality service to all and work collaboratively with your clinical colleagues in developing nursing skills within the Women`s Health working in the following departments:

  • Colposcopy clinic
  • Hysteroscopy clinic

Main duties of the job

Notice and respond appropriately to the changing needs of the women. Promote a culture of health and wellbeing though providing information, advice and support for bereaved women.

Communicate clearly and accurately using a range of written, verbal and non-verbal methods, maintaining confidentiality and upholding the principles of data protection at all times.

Ensure good communication exists between all healthcare professionals working within the department and promote harmonious working relationships and safe working practices, must be able to work as part of a team, and autonomously.

To participate in the checking of emergency equipment as per trust policy, to report any problems with equipment, and remove the defective equipment from use as appropriate, to respond in medical emergencies.

Smooth running of the Gynaecology clinics including setting up of trays for outpatient procedures and assisting clinicians in clinics.

Assisting in the failsafe processes in clinic

To be able to use EPR, ACP, EMR, RAD and other relevant computer systems required within the clinical areas.
