The position involves a 12-hour rotational shift pattern and will initially be based in Stobhill ACH with a rotation to GRI expected.

Job description

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK, employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.

Shift pattern is 12 hour rotational.

An opportunity has arisen to work within Surgical Wards in the above hospitals. The post involves working within the multi-professional team in the wards, and you should have the ability to competently perform the necessary technical, invasive and physical aspects of care for this defined group, to ensure the delivery of high quality care.

Stobhill ward caters for a range of specialties including breast, orthopaedic and urology procedures as well as general surgical patients.

You will be a Registered Nurse with relevant clinical experience, and have evidence of continued professional development. Previous experience is advantageous. The post will be based initially in Stobhill ACH but rotation to GRI will be expected.
