Are you ready to join a top performing Foundation Trust in the North East of England and be part of a department committed to ensuring high quality patient care?
Could you be a North Tees and Hartlepool ED Nurse rated a ‘Good Team” by the CQC and be part of a friendly, focused, innovative team to give the highest quality care?
Do you want to work in a department where no two days are the same, working in a fast-paced environment?
Our emergency department has expanded and has recently had a £3.5 million investment to upgrade facilities and create more emergency cubicles, and therefore we are looking to recruit professional and enthusiastic Band 5 staff nurses, preferably with band 5 experience in an Acute Care setting. The department has 5 resuscitation beds, and 23 major treatment cubicles: We also have a dedicated mental health assessment room. We are co-located with an Urgent Care Treatment centre who deal with minor injuries and illnesses and between the two departments we attend to around 14,000 patients each month. There are currently 79 staff in the Adult ED and 30 staff in the paediatric department with a further 30 staff in Urgent Care.
We take great pride in being part of a top performing Trust and Top performing Emergency Department.
We are looking for nurses who are motivated, enthusiastic and can demonstrate at interview a kind and compassionate attitude along with a desire to provide effective and efficient emergency care. With strong nursing leadership, a dedicated ED Matron and a newly appointed Clinical Educator to guide and support you in conjunction with an allocated ‘buddy’. We provide high quality emergency care and give structured support and development to all our nurses including a tailored induction at the start, a period of supernumerary status tailored to every individual’s needs. You will be given a structured orientation to meet your individual needs to develop as an ED nurse
At North Tees & Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust our main priority is, and always will be, to provide safe and high quality care to our patients every day; the kind of care we would want for ourselves and our loved ones. We want our organisation to be the best place to work with the right staff, in the right roles, at the right time, to ensure we deliver exceptional patient care and experience.
We will support staff through providing an inclusive and supportive workplace with health and well-being initiatives, staff benefits and opportunities for personal and professional development. Staff recognition is very important to us; as well as performance reviews and appraisals, we recognise staff through Star and Team of the month, colleague recognition – a note of thanks, Managers Awards, Shining Stars and Service Awards.
We recruit for values and “Together we are North Tees & Hartlepool”
