Job summary

Cheshire and Wirral Partnership NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Band 5 Staff Nurse for an inpatient dementia service. The role involves delivering mental health nursing care to adults with dementia and occasionally taking charge of the service.

Shifts rotate days, nights and weekends in 12.5-hour blocks; new graduates can join via a preceptorship programme. A registered mental health or learning disability nurse with DBS check is required.

Qualifications

This Band 5 Staff Nurse post sits on the 15-bed Specialist Dementia inpatient service run by Cheshire and Wirral Partnership NHS Foundation Trust. The work centres on mental health nursing care for adults with a dementia diagnosis, with occasional charge of the service. Shifts rotate across days, nights and weekends in 12.5-hour blocks, and newly qualified nurses can join through a preceptorship programme. Applicants must hold a registered mental health or learning disability nursing qualification.
