Job summary

NHS Ayrshire & Arran invites applications for a Staff Nurse District Nursing position based at Saltcoats Health Centre. The post is 24 hours per week, Monday to Friday with weekend commitment, and is offered on a permanent basis.

You will assess care needs and develop, implement and evaluate nursing programmes for community clients, manage the caseload in the absence of the Charge Nurse, and supervise staff. A UK driving licence is essential.

Position:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Staff Nurse District Nursingwithin our Three Towns District Nursing area based at Saltcoats Health Centre.

Hours:

24 hours per week, working Monday to Friday with a weekend commitment.

This post is offered on a permanent basis.

UK Driving Licence:

A UK driving licence is essential for this role.

What you will do:

Working as a Staff Nurse District Nursing within the Three Towns District Nursing area within North Ayrshire Health and Social Care Partnership you will have experience as a qualified registered nurse and be responsible for the assessment of care needs and the development, implementation and evaluation of nursing programmes of care for a variety of client groups within the community.

You will be responsible for the management of the caseload in the absence of the district nursing Charge Nurse including the supervision and redeployment of staff.

Knowledge, training and/or experience required for this post:

Professional qualification in nursing – essential.

You must be able to demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills and have the ability to work on your own initiative, and a lone worker working within a variety of settings within the community.

You should be able to provide evidence of personal development and a willingness to undertake appropriate training.
