Job Description:

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK, employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community, and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million, extending to 2.2 million for regional and national services.

The shift pattern includes day and night shifts, worked Monday to Sunday.

Please do not apply if you do not have a current live NMC PIN number, as you will not be shortlisted.

This is an exciting opportunity for a Band 5 Registered Nurse to join our Critical Care Neurosciences/OMFS team at the Institute of Neurological Sciences, QEUH. Our department provides pioneering neurosurgical procedures and care as part of regional services for the West of Scotland.

Our 12-bed Critical Care Unit offers person-centred care for critically ill patients from Neurosurgery, Neurology, and Oral Maxillofacial Surgery. The unit has a dedicated Clinical Educator to support your skills development.

Experience in Critical Care is desirable but not essential. A post-basic critical care qualification is preferred.

You should demonstrate a commitment to patient-centred care, ongoing professional development, and understanding of our services and patient needs, or a willingness to learn.

Flexibility and teamwork are essential qualities.

A competency-based education program supports your development.

Only NMC UK Registrants are eligible to apply.
