Overview

Cedar ward at St Peter's Hospital is looking for dynamic staff nurses to join their 21 bed ward. The ward specialises in gastroenterology nursing. Working with a wide and varied MDT such as critical care outreach, alcohol liaison team, IBD team and clinical psychologists. We are offering a 12 month fixed term contract to cover maternity leave and welcome applications from experienced nurses, as well as new graduates or those looking for their first NHS role. Delivering excellence in patient care and patient experience is our driving force and in return we offer commitment to your personal development.   • To work effectively and efficiently within the framework of team nursing and individualised patient care. In collaboration with the departments integrated multidisciplinary team to develop, implement and evaluate programmes of care for patients.
  • To contribute towards developing and maintaining a suitable and stimulating learning environment, and to supervise junior registered and non-registered staff.
  • The role is varied, equally challenging and rewarding, where you will have the opportunity to really make a difference to the experience of our patients. Whether this is supporting patients in their rehabilitation and recovery following a procedure or a period of acute illness or providing holistic and compassionate care for patients at the end of life.
