Job description

Do you wish to be part of our expanding and dynamic team? We are currently looking for enthusiastic staff nurses to join our acute cardiology team at Wycombe Hospital. We are looking for individuals who are passionate about cardiology and teamwork.

Teamwork is essential in CCU, and the ward is supported by a high level of senior nurses who will be there to support you.

CCU is a 22-bedded, fast-paced unit that specializes in cardiac care. You will have the opportunity to look after a variety of complex cardiovascular conditions.

Main duties of the job

This is an ideal role for someone with cardiology experience, although if you are newly qualified and show a drive to learn, we are also interested in what you have to offer. You will be expected to be IV competent and able to undertake venepuncture and cannulation (or willing to learn). Undertaking immediate life support is also essential.

Your career goals are important to us, and we believe in supporting our staff to develop the career that is right for them. Continuing education (supported by our clinical education team) and professional development are strongly encouraged, with opportunities available throughout your career. We offer specialist cardiac courses to all our staff as well as in-house training led by our cardiac practice development nurse.
