The accreditation team visited Doulton ward in November 2024, and the ward achieved a Silver Award. Our priority is to deliver excellent patient care, and we are proud of our services and the recognition we have received.
The post holder will work under the guidance of the Ward Manager and multidisciplinary team members to monitor and maintain high standards of nursing care and staff development.
Assist in the professional development and performance of learners and junior staff in the clinical area.
Carry out all relevant care activities with guidance and support from senior staff.
Be flexible in approach and provide cover across specified areas according to experience.
Be accountable for nursing practice, adhere to Trust policies, protocols, and NMC standards. Maintain personal and professional development with support from the ward and Trust.
Doulton Ward is a 25-bed surgical ward caring for patients pre- and post-complex cardiovascular surgery, including open and minimally invasive procedures like valve repair, replacement, and coronary artery bypass grafts.
Our Practice Education Team will support your orientation with a supernumerary period, in-house study days, and regular surgical team days. Opportunities for postgraduate courses are available upon completion of orientation and relevant competencies.
Patient care (both direct & indirect)
This role is subject to DBS checks in accordance with the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1975.
Salary: £35,964 to £43,780 per year, inclusive of Outer London HCA allowances (pro-rata if part-time).
