Job summary

West Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting part-time, fixed-term Band 5 registered nurses to join the Cardiac team. The Cardiac Centre includes a CCU, Cardiac Ward, Catheterisation Lab and Recovery area, with a 22-bed ward and telemetry monitoring.

The roles offer rotation through areas to develop skills in cardiology and patient care, with a supportive senior team guiding ongoing development. Applicants with cardiology experience are welcome, and those with a keen interest in cardiology

Qualifications

• Must be registered with the Nursing & Midwifery Council (NMC).
• Band 5 registered nurse with current practice status.
• Willingness to develop skills in cardiology and related procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, effective nursing care on the Cardiac Ward and associated areas.
• Work with senior team to monitor patients using telemetry and bedside monitors.
• Rotate through CCU, Cardiac Ward and CatheterLab to gain varied clinical experience.

Job description

We have an exciting opportunity for a part time fixed term Registered Nurses to come and join our Cardiac team.

The Cardiac Centre comprises of a CCU (Cardiac Care Unit) , Cardiac Ward and Catheterisation Lab, (where diagnostic angiograms are performed and pacemakers inserted) and a Recovery area.

The ward has 22 beds with 7 of these having bedside monitors. The Cardiac ward is also responsible for providing and monitoring patients on Telemetry across the Trust.

The Band 5 posts will provide an opportunity for the successful candidates to rotate through the various areas enabling them to develop a range of skills and experiences.

Although previous cardiology or scrub nurse experience would be an advantage, we welcome applicants from those with an interest in cardiology who are willing to develop and take on new skills., We are looking for a passionate staff nurse to join our team.

The cardiac ward looks after patients with a variety of different cardiac conditions.

The role will include taking responsibility for the safe and effective delivery of care for a number of patients supported by the ward senior team.
