Opportunity for Band 6 Staff Nurse Medical Day Unit 9 (MDU) Kingston.

The MDU at our Kingston site is a vibrant, fast paced clinical environment specialising in the delivery of chemotherapy and supportive care therapies. We are currently looking for motivated Staff (band 6) nurse to join our team.
You will need to be a 1st level registered nurse. Demonstrable post registration and experience in the administration of IV medications including chemotherapy is essential. IV cannulation and venepuncture are desirable, however full training will be given. In addition you will possess excellent oral and written communication skills, be a reliable, enthusiastic and effective team member, and be committed to providing the highest level of service to our patients.
The successful candidate will demonstrate clinical leadership and sound decision making skills. This role will include involvement in the development of Nurse-Led chemotherapy clinics.

Flu Vaccination – What We Expect of our Staff
At The Royal Marsden we have an immune compromised patient population who we must protect as much as we can against the flu virus. Each year, seasonal flu affects thousands of people in the UK. Occurring mainly in winter, it is an infectious respiratory disease capable of producing symptoms ranging from those similar to a common cold, through to very severe or even fatal disease.
The wellbeing of our staff and patients is of the upmost importance to us, and it is the expectation of The Royal Marsden that all patient-facing staff have an annual flu vaccination, provided free of charge by the Trust.
You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
