The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust is one of the leading cancer centres in the world and has an international reputation for the care and treatment it provides. The Royal Marsden serves a local, regional, national and international population from two hospital sites, Chelsea and Sutton.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed Band 6 Staff Nurse for Granard House 3 Ward. The Ward consists of 7 en-suite rooms, providing specialist care to Surgical Oncology patients. It is also the dedicated Head and Neck Ward for Private Patients.
Self motivation to learn is important if you are interested in applying for this position. You will be supported to develop the competences required with an opportunity to further your studies at the Royal Marsden Hospital School of Cancer Nursing.
To coordinate and supervise a shift, communicating effectively with members of a multidisciplinary team to deliver high quality, evidence-led care to patients.
To exercise clinical judgment and decision making about patient needs in terms of long term goals or plans.
To participate fully in the day to day organization and running of clinical trials including the recruitment, education and monitoring of patients entering a clinical trial and liaison as required with trial sponsors.
To Assume Personal Accountability For Nursing Care Delivered To a Patient In Accordance With The NMC Code Of Conduct. There Is An Expectation For Post Holders
