You will be a proactive, motivated and a dynamic leader with the ability to promote high standards of care, developing and supporting the nursing team in the clinical area.
Burdett Coutts Ward is a 15 bedded unit specialising in the care of patients from a variety of tumour groups undergoing different oncology treatments including: Major surgery, chemotherapy and supportive therapies.
As a Registered Nurse, you will have significant experience in Oncology nursing and a commitment to providing high quality specialist care. Your expertise will be backed by a first level degree, a specialist or oncology qualification and appropriate experience in mentoring staff and students. Previous experience in chemotherapy administration would be a bonus.
You will be expected to be responsible for managing a team of nurses within the ward and be responsible for their training and development under the guidance of the Ward sister.

Flu Vaccination – What We Expect of our Staff
At The Royal Marsden we have an immune compromised patient population who we must protect as much as we can against the flu virus. Each year, seasonal flu affects thousands of people in the UK. Occurring mainly in winter, it is an infectious respiratory disease capable of producing symptoms ranging from those similar to a common cold, through to very severe or even fatal disease.
The wellbeing of our staff and patients is of the upmost importance to us, and it is the expectation of The Royal Marsden that all patient-facing staff have an annual flu vaccination, provided free of charge by the Trust.
You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
