Job description

With the expansion of our service from 17 beds to 19 beds, we are recruiting Band 5 staff nurses to work within our highly skilled, dynamic multi-disciplinary team.

This is an excellent opportunity to join our Adult Intensive Care, which accommodates both level 3 and level 2 patients. We provide care for patients from many specialties, including recent additions of Thoracic and Burns patients.

We are seeking energetic, enthusiastic, and experienced nurses to provide high standards of care. The successful candidate will be welcomed into our friendly, forward-thinking, and motivated team.

We are looking to recruit hardworking individuals to work as part of a large team within our busy Intensive Care Unit. Previous experience in an acute setting is essential, with experience in burns or thoracics being highly desirable. ICU experience is desirable but not essential, as comprehensive in-service training is provided.

We offer a supportive environment and good work-life balance with a rostering system responsive to staff needs. We are fully committed to facilitating learning and staff development.

MFT is one of the largest NHS Trusts in England, with a turnover of £2.8bn, creating an exceptional integrated health and social care system for the 1 million patients relying on our services annually.

Bringing together 10 hospitals and community services across Manchester, Trafford, and beyond, we champion collaborative working and transformation, encouraging our 30,000 workforce to pursue their most ambitious goals. We set standards that other Trusts seek to emulate, offering opportunities on an extraordinary scale.

We have created a digitally enabled organization to improve clinical quality, patient and staff experience, operational effectiveness, and to drive research and innovation through Hive, our Electronic Patient Record system launched in September 2022.

As a major academic Research Centre and Education provider, we offer a robust infrastructure to support high-quality research programs. We are also embarking on our Green Plan to enhance healthcare sustainability.

At MFT, we foster a culture of inclusion and belonging, providing equal opportunities for career development that are fair, open, and transparent. We are committed to protecting your health and wellbeing and shaping our organization’s future together.
