What you will be doing

As a qualified Nurse, you will ensure people with mental health conditions receive high-quality care, support your colleagues, and promote positive teamwork. The wards are busy, engaging, and varied. Your daily tasks will include:

1. Providing high-quality, effective, and compassionate nursing care to service users
2. Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care
3. Mentoring and supporting team members
4. Observing, recording, and reporting service user changes, maintaining accurate records

Where you will be working

Location: Bennett’s Lane, Widnes, Warrington, WA8 0GT

You will work at the Gateway Recovery Centre, a state-of-the-art facility providing care for men and women with complex mental health needs. The hospital has four distinct areas:

• Male Autism Service for adults with Autism and Asperger’s syndrome
• Assessment and rehabilitation for women with complex mental health and personality difficulties
• Specialist inpatient service for older men with complex mental and physical health needs
• Low secure care setting for men with mental illness, with or without personality disorder/mild LD

You will work alongside the team to improve mental health and wellbeing, helping patients develop and maintain healthy relationships. Gateway aims to reduce risk behaviors associated with mental health conditions, enabling patients to live successful, fulfilling lives within the community.
