University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust is seeking a driven Band 5 Staff Nurse for the expanding Day Case unit at County Hospital. This role offers opportunities to work in diverse surgical procedures and benefit from a structured induction to help nurses thrive in their career.
Job Summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated, enthusiastic, and caring Band 5 Staff Nurse to join the nursing team on Ward 8 and the Day Case unit at County Hospital.
Ward 8 will be expanding. The brand new, purpose-built, state-of-the-art Surgical Day Case unit now requires more dedicated and caring Band 5 Staff Nurses to join our team.
We specialize in Day Surgery and surgical procedures requiring recovery over a 24-48 hour period. Due to the diverse range of surgical procedures on Ward 8, we offer a wealth of learning opportunities.
Main duties of the job
You will be an NMC-registered Nurse, preferably with experience in surgical nursing. You should have a keen interest in the above specialties. We will provide you with a robust induction, a friendly and welcoming team, and support on your journey with us. You will have opportunities to learn from existing staff, the CNS, and see surgeries firsthand.
