Job description

Job summary: The post holder will be responsible for the assessment of needs, development of programmes of care and the implementation of these programmes for patients and their relatives.

Main duties of the job:

  • To provide a high standard of clinical nursing within the department
  • To manage groups of patients
  • To take charge of the clinic when rostered and assessed as competent to take on the role.
  • To act as a role model to students and nursing associates
  • To present a positive, professional image of the organisation and the nursing team.

  • Recognised qualification in teaching and assessing or evidence of delivering teaching (desirable)
