Job description

Fast forward your career by joining our Renal Satellite Haemodialysis Unit based at Ealing Hospital Uxbridge Road, Southall, Middlesex UB1 3HW. You will ideally have at least 6 months post registration experience in a renal or acute setting. However, candidates without experience will be considered and informal visits are highly recommended. Our department is full of opportunity. We offer a variety of training within this speciality and there are on-going opportunities for self-development including secondment in CPPD in renal nursing.

Role

We have a 1 x Band 5 Full Time Position available. The successful applicant will join our established nurse led team. By becoming a renal nurse you will play an integral role in maintaining and developing a centre of clinical excellence and work in an environment that meets the needs of both clients and team members. The successful candidate is expected to be flexible and able to work shift patterns to accommodate the service needs. For further details please contact:

  • Carry out planned care for a group of patients without direct supervision including as required.
  • Ensure the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of evidence based, individualised patient care.
  • Assist and advise unregistered staff in the delivery of patient care.
  • Organise one’s own work load ensuring most effective use of time.
  • Assist in the orientation of new staff and students.
  • Ensure that nursing practices comply with Trust policies and procedures.
  • Assess the needs of patients, relatives and carers and provide them with information as requested.
  • Assist in the teaching and development of nursing assistants and students helping them to achieve their learning outcomes.
  • To keep up to date with current developments in nursing and ensure evidence based practice.
