Salary: £31,892 - £39,735 per annum (pro rata)
Plus Distant Islands Allowance: £1,349 (pro rata)
Hours: 14.5 hours per week
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and enthusiastic Band 5 Staff Nurse to join the Barra Nursing Team. This island post offers an interesting, rewarding, and challenging experience with ample opportunities for developing skills in a remote and rural setting. The Integrated team provides patient-centered care across the Hospital (3 beds), Emergency Room, and Community workload, serving the communities of Barra and Vatersay.
The Islands of Barra and Vatersay are the smallest in the archipelago of the Western Isles, renowned for their idyllic beaches, sporting activities, strong community, and Gaelic culture. The island features the UK's only airport beach runway, offering excellent daily flights to the Mainland, along with a daily ferry service from Oban and five sailings to nearby islands.
