Job summary

Highland Hospice is seeking a Staff Nurse to deliver holistic, patient-centred palliative care under the guidance of Senior Nurses.

Your day will include medicines management, care planning and discharge planning, assisting with personal care, and working within a friendly, multidisciplinary team of nurses, doctors, therapists, social work and volunteers. Flexible hours and a comprehensive benefits package are offered.

Job description

Hours: Full & part time hours considered

Salary: £34,544- £43,039 per annum (pro-rata)

Holiday: 35 days per annum (including public holidays) pro-rata

Shift pattern: 12 hour shifts - Day (07.30-20.00), Night (19.30-08.00)

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A STAFF NURSE

What you'll be doing...

Reporting to the Senior Nurses, you can expect your working day to include the following:

• Providing excellent, holistic, patient centred palliative care.
• Be part of a highly skilled and driven multi-disciplinary team, including Nurses, Doctors, Physiotherapist, Occupational therapist, Pharmacist, Social work, chaplaincy and volunteers.
• Medicine management, care planning and discharge planning.
• Assisting with personal care, nutrition and all activities of daily living.
• Working in a friendly, dynamic, positive and vibrant environment.
