Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (Adult) - Day Bed Unit

Would you like to work in a supportive and welcoming environment where you can make a difference for patients?

We are seeking a Registered Nurse (First Level - Adult) to join the Day Bed Unit on ward A at Lorn & Islands Hospital in Oban.

The Day Bed Unit operates from Monday to Friday, with core hours from 7:30 am to 5:00 pm, though some flexibility is required. The unit admits patients for endoscopy and surgical procedures.

While it can be busy at times, the work is highly rewarding.

This position offers a great opportunity to develop a broad range of nursing skills and gain experience working in a rural hospital located in the scenic seaside town of Oban.

Applicants must demonstrate the ability to assess, plan, and implement care for surgical patients. Good communication and interpersonal skills are essential, and the ability to work well within a team is required.

Previous experience in a general surgical ward, endoscopy, or an acute setting is desirable. Newly qualified RNs are welcome, as comprehensive induction and surgical training will be provided.

The successful candidate will primarily work in the Day Bed Unit but should be flexible to support the ward as needed.
