Panther will allow you to gain specialist surgical and airway management skills, supporting you to build confidence in high dependence nursing. We can offer a number of development and educational opportunities and help you prepare for a band 6 role with courses such as stepping up to band 6 and our fully supported in charge work up.
We can help you to transition from adult nursing into the surgical world of paediatrics. We will value your previous experience and support you to build on this knowledge. We can offer courses specially designed for adult nurses, as well as speciality courses and the HDU module. We will ensure your development plan is tailored to your needs, recognising previous experience. Our aim is to help you to start an exciting career in paediatric nursing.

Panther ward has 14 inpatient beds (2 of which are High Dependency), specialising in Ears, Nose and Throat, Ophthalmology, Plastics, Dental Maxillofacial, Craniofacial, Audiology and Cleft. Patients having various surgical procedures requiring different aspect of nursing care, offering you the opportunity to gain new clinical skills caring for acutely unwell children. We are currently expanding our High Dependency criteria working alongside our new HDU Ward Sister, this is an exciting time for us as a team and we would love for you to join us.
