What does a Staff Nurse's day look like?

As a Staff Nurse, you will lead the team and be involved in continuous assessments, planning, and evaluation of residents’ needs and wishes:

  • Providing excellent nursing care and support to residents
  • Overseeing medication management and ensuring safe administration in accordance with NMC Standards
  • Creating and implementing treatment plans
  • Offering a safe, caring, and stable environment
  • Ensuring compliance with legal, regulatory, and best practice guidelines
  • Supporting the Service Manager in achieving key targets by promoting high standards of care and supervising staff shifts
  • Supporting, guiding, teaching, and mentoring team members
  • Working individually and with the Manager to ensure smooth home operations

To qualify, you must hold a current NMC registration and a relevant Nursing qualification. A compassionate attitude, adequate knowledge, and understanding of professional boundaries are essential.
