A healthcare organization is looking for a dedicated Registered Nurse to join their Neurosciences Care Group in Hull. You will work in the Neurosurgery High Observation Unit providing high-quality care for neurosurgical patients. The ideal candidate should have experience with neurosurgical patients and demonstrate effective communication and leadership skills. This role includes working on a rotational basis covering days, nights, and weekends.

Job description

The Neurosciences Care Group is looking for an outstanding individual to join the nursing team and to work in our Neurosurgery High Observation Unit and Neuro-Surgical admission Lounge at Hull Royal Infirmary.

The Neurosurgery unit provides a wide range of specialist procedures both spinal and cranial involving multiple specialities to Hull and East Yorkshire and the surrounding areas.

We are looking for enthusiastic, self-motivated and dynamic nurse with excellent clinical nursing and decision making skills, allowing them to deliver a high quality service to patients.

The successful candidates will work with the Nursing team in providing direct high quality neurosurgical patient care for both elective and emergency admissions.

We would welcome previous experience in Neurosurgery to apply for this post, you will have a passion and willingness to learn new skills to specialize in this field. You will be supported by the experienced Neurosurgical team to develop clinical and managerial with a full training package.

The hours of work will include days, nights, weekend and bank holiday cover on a rotational basis.

Main duties of the job

The post holder is expected to perform duties as per the attached job description. Compassion and care being essential to these roles, you will be caring for a wide range of patients having experienced neurosurgical injury and their treatment and care.

You will also be an excellent team player and have great communication skills.

In addition, the post holder will required to work with the Multidisciplinary team in the provision of a high standard of individualized patient care, thus improving the patient experience.
