You will work in all areas of the department, including Majors, Resuscitation, Minor Injuries and Illness, and Initial Assessment.

The Emergency Department is a fast-paced environment where you will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team of professionals to assess, diagnose, treat, and manage patients. Key Responsibilities:
  1. Participate in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating individualized care for patients.
  2. Assist the multidisciplinary team (MDT) by providing clear instructions to patients regarding treatment plans, medications, follow-up care, and self-management strategies, promoting patient empowerment and adherence.
  3. Work collaboratively with all MDT members to develop and implement comprehensive care plans tailored to individual needs, ensuring continuity and effective communication.
  4. Recognize changes in patient conditions requiring intervention and escalate as appropriate.
  5. Present the patient's point of view to others, including promoting and protecting patient dignity.
  6. Maintain accurate electronic patient records of assessments, interventions, responses, and discharge instructions.
  7. Ensure evidence-based practice and contribute to the development of nursing practice in your area.

  2. Provide high standards of nursing care.
  3. Offer mentorship and preceptorship as required.
  4. Support the senior nursing team in providing a conducive learning and development environment.
  5. Take responsibility for your own professional development and maintain your portfolio according to registration requirements.
