NHS Ayrshire & Arran is seeking a part-time Band 5 Staff Nurse for the PICU. The role involves assessing care needs and developing care programs within a multidisciplinary setting, alongside a commitment to high-quality patient care. Candidates must hold relevant NMC registrations, and training is provided for those lacking prior PICU experience.

This is a permanent part-time position of 33.4 hours, with a rotational shift pattern including days, nights, weekends, and public holidays. Salary is pro-rata for part-time hours.
You must hold a current NMC UK pin to be considered for this role.
An opportunity has arisen for a Band 5 Staff Nurse within the PICU. Prior PICU experience is desirable but not essential, as training will be provided. The Critical Care unit has 22 beds and cares for a variety of patients, including those undergoing emergency and elective surgery, cardiac, orthopaedics, trauma, general medical, oncology, ENT, neurology, neurosurgery, and plastic surgery. The unit also has a lead service across Scotland and accepts referrals from other centers and Europe.
The successful candidate will be part of a multidisciplinary team, responsible for assessing care needs, developing, implementing, and evaluating care programs to ensure high-quality patient care.
