Staff Nurse

This is an exciting opportunity to work within the new Orthopaedic outpatient centre.

Supporting and assisting Clinicians in a variety of orthopaedic Clinics. This will involve different Trauma, elective and spinal outpatient clinics.

Main duties of the job

The main role of the post is to prepare and oversee clinics, this will involve ensuring they are running efficiently, using the resources available, supporting clinicians and anticipating their requirements.

being responsible for HCA's in the clinical areas, and supporting them whilst on duty.

We are responsible for ensuring all our patients are appraised of any further treatments or and investigations and ensure they are well informed about each step.

Outpatient staff are expected to work as a team and support the plaster room as required.

Education and Qualifications
  • Registered nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC)
  • Diploma/degree in nursing studies or working towards
Knowledge and Experience
  • Relevant experience in past of looking after patients in a healthcare environment.
  • Previous NHS experience within last 12 months
  • Previous experience within an Acute setting
  • Broad clinical knowledge base in orthopaedics
Skills and Knowledge
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Confident and calm attitude with the ability to work under pressure
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Accurate document presentation and attention to detail
