Ward 33 in the Queens Centre CHH has a vacancy for an enthusiastic Nurse to join a progressive nursing team who provide care for patients with cancer with a variety of needs. The Queens Centre is a state of the art department treating oncology and haematology in-patients across five wards. In addition to a fantastic building we also invest in our staff and offer comprehensive 'in-house' training and recommended pathways for further education relevant to the care of cancer patients including opportunities to complete the Chemotherapy Competency course.

Main duties of the jobThis speciality requires the post holder to be professional and have a positive problem-solving approach, excellent communication skills and the ability to deliver high standards of fundamental care to their patients.
A willingness to develop evidence-based practices and with supervision, you will develop an expert knowledge of cancer, symptom management and treatments, as well as achieving skills in emotional and psychological support during challenging circumstances.
