Job Purpose
To deliver professional nursing care to residents, demonstrate leadership, adhere to the NMC code, and support the Home Manager in daily operations.
Main Responsibilities
- Maintain high standards of nursing care
- Ensure a safe environment for residents, staff, and visitors
- Supervise and support junior staff
- Assist in workload delegation in the absence of the Home Manager
- Set a professional example in appearance and conduct
- Keep accurate records and care plans as required
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
- Minimum 12 months post-graduate experience in elderly care, or newly qualified nurses considered
- Experience with dementia care and clinical support
- Good time management and workload prioritization
- Ability to advise and guide staff, residents, and families sensitively
- Effective problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills, including report writing and care planning
