Neurological Rehabilitation Staff Nurse
Band 5
37.5 hours per week

Magnolia Ward at Tickhill Road Hospital is a Neurological Rehabilitation inpatient facility with 8 beds, offering rehabilitation to individuals with neurological illness and disability. Our patients experience physical, cognitive, and social difficulties, and our rehabilitation approach is holistic to meet their needs.

Our multidisciplinary team includes Medical staff, Nursing staff, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Psychology, Speech and Language Therapy, and Rehabilitation Assistants.

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Staff Nurse to join our team in delivering neurological rehabilitation. The successful candidate will be an autonomous practitioner, responsible for coordinating and managing shifts, providing direction to Rehabilitation Assistants, and maintaining a patient-focused approach in complex situations.

Skills and Development

Neurological rehabilitation is both rewarding and challenging. The post holder will use clinical assessment skills to develop patient-centered care plans and will be supported through:

  • Regular clinical and managerial supervision
  • Specialist rehabilitation nursing knowledge
  • Reflective practice sessions
  • In-house and external training
  • Post-graduate neurological rehabilitation training

The ideal candidate will be a Registered Nurse with recent experience caring for people with physical disabilities and health needs, and experience working within a multidisciplinary team. Experience in neurology or rehabilitation is desirable.
