Job description

The States of Guernsey are looking for a Staff Nurse to join the team at Brehon Ward.

Brehon Ward is a 20-bedded unit offering specialist medical nursing and mental health care to meet the complex needs of service users with dual diagnoses of long-term physical and mental health issues.

The post holder will be part of a team of registered nurses, responsible for maintaining the highest standards of care following the CARE values. Assisting patients with activities of daily living is a core component of this role. The post holder will assess, plan, implement, deliver, and evaluate personalized care for a group of individuals, ensuring patient and family involvement in decision-making while preserving privacy and dignity.

Additional responsibilities include personal development, completing mandatory/statutory training on time, adhering to all HSC policies and procedures, and acting as a mentor, practice assessor, or supervisor to junior staff and students.
