Job description

We welcome applications from nurses who are already experienced in cardiology, as well as those currently working in acute surgical wards or with an HPB (hepatobiliary) nursing background who are interested in transitioning into cardiology. If you bring enthusiasm and commitment, we\u2019ll provide the cardiology training, mentorship, and structured development programme to support your success.

What you\u2019ll be doing
  • Providing safe, patient-centred care to individuals undergoing investigation, treatment, or recovery for cardiac conditions
  • Supporting patients through procedures such as angiograms, pacemaker insertions, and electrophysiology studies
  • Monitoring telemetry, recognising cardiac abnormalities, and responding promptly to changes in patient condition
  • Assessing patients on admission, planning care, and evaluating outcomes
  • Working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team while offering reassurance, education, and compassionate support to patients and families
  • Registered General Nurse with active NMC registration
  • A passion for delivering safe, effective, and compassionate care
  • Cardiology experience is desirable but not essential we encourage applications from nurses with acute surgical ward or HPB experience who are eager to build a career in cardiology
