Job summary

As a Staff Nurse, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating patient-centred care for individuals admitted for rehabilitation. Working within a nurse and therapy-led multidisciplinary team, you will coordinate the day-to-day running of the ward, administer medications, undertake clinical assessments, support discharge planning and attend MDT and Continuing Healthcare meetings as required.

Lickey Ward at the Princess of Wales Community Hospital is a nurse and therapy-led rehabilitation ward supporting patients to regain independence, confidence and quality of life following illness or hospital admission. As a Staff Nurse, you will play a key role in helping patients achieve their rehabilitation goals and transition safely back into the community.

No two days are the same. You will lead and coordinate patient care, undertake assessments, administer medications, evaluate progress and respond to changing clinical needs while working closely with therapists, healthcare assistants, medical colleagues, patients and families. You will contribute to MDT discussions, discharge planning and Continuing Healthcare processes, ensuring every patient receives holistic, person-centred care.
