Overview

We provide a detailed and supported training programme to ensure all competencies are achieved and assessed via knowledge and practice. When you join the endoscopy team we would ensure a mentor is allocated who would hold regular meetings with their trainee to guarantee a friendly and supported working environment. Your mentor would support you through all areas of the endoscopy training programme; admissions, recovery and in the procedure rooms. We are also delighted to offer endoscopy based online training resources and sim study days to enhance your learning experience.

There are numerous career progression avenues within the service, whether it’s becoming a Nurse Endoscopist, senior nurse or specialist nurse within one of the multidisciplinary teams we work closely with.
