Overview

The successful candidate will work within the highly skilled multidisciplinary team where the patient is central to everything we do. They will take an active part in the delivery of care and rehabilitation programmes, ensuring that excellent standards are maintained.

Responsibilities
  • Support the ward sister/manager in the provision and maintenance of high‑quality personalised nursing care by providing assessment and formulating care plans in partnership with the patient and their relatives/carers.
  • Maintain high clinical standards whilst carrying out nursing procedures, including the safe custody and administration of medication using an electronic system.
  • Use electronic systems to record patient information, demonstrating a good understanding of IT.
  • Be responsible for your own continued development and act as a role‑model and motivator for other unit staff, ensuring compliance with the clinical governance framework.
Qualifications & Skills
  • First‑level registered nurse (up to 37.5 hours per week).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good understanding of IT systems used for patient record keeping.
  • Willingness to develop within the role and a positive outlook.
