Verdantas is seeking a Geologist. This position will be located in Manchester, NH.

Responsibilities:
  1. Perform field tasks, including data collection, measurements, excavation observation
  2. Prepare field notes and related documentation in accordance with company standards
  3. Operation and maintenance of remediation system
  4. Maintain Excel databases associated with regulatory compliance
  5. Assist with preparing regulatory submittals, such as permit applications and plans
  6. Oversee well installations and soil borings
  7. Collect groundwater, soil, sediment, air, and surface water samples
  8. Retrieve necessary data using online databases, off-line records, or other means
  9. Enter collected data into report format using applicable software and company formatting guidelines
  10. Apply basic knowledge of federal, state, and local regulatory requirements and regulatory programs
  11. Assist with on-call emergency projects on occasion
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Geology, Chemistry, Environmental Engineering, or related discipline
  • 0-2 years of relevant experience
  • Ability to conduct fieldwork with some heavy lifting
  • Proficient with MS Office suite of products
  • 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER training a plus
  • Previous consulting experience is a plus
  • Must have a valid driver's license
  • Must have a personal vehicle for independent transportation to work sites
