Job summary

RVU is hiring a Staff Software Engineer (Full Stack: TypeScript, React, Node.js) to own the technical direction for our financial services stack, including money.co.uk and related brands. The role uses a TypeScript/React/Node.js stack deployed on Kubernetes in AWS, with a hybrid work model and two office days.

You will lead cross‑functional collaboration with product, design and data teams, drive code quality and security, and apply AI tooling to ship measurable improvements while mentoring

Qualifications

• Experience shipping full-stack applications using TypeScript, React, and Node.js.
• Experience with AI tooling and deploying AI-powered features.
• Strong understanding of software engineering principles and design patterns.
• Experience with web security and secure coding practices.
• Familiarity with cloud-native architectures and REST APIs.

Responsibilities

• As a Staff Software Engineer, set the technical direction for Financial Services.
• Work across the full stack including frontend, backend, data, and infra.
• Lead code reviews and foster a collaborative, ego-free culture.
• Ensure applications are tested, secure, and maintainable.
• Identify AI opportunities to improve metrics and help teams adopt them.
